Twitch Streamer Series- Part 57

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 57

Being creative sometimes can be hard when you think that you have no talent but we all have talent hidden within ourselves. If you need help finding it, maybe this next streamer can give you some awesome tips so that you can tap into that creative side and enjoy a new hobby.

1. What is your twitch name?

 BeetleAtBay

2. Is there a reason why you chose that name?

It’s a Harry Potter reference about Rita Skeeter, it’s been a gaming handle of mine for a while and I just rolled with it.

3. Why did you become a Twitch Streamer?

A friend of mine casually streamed video games and after I showed him a few of my crochet projects he told me I should think about streaming Crochet. I thought he was nuts and asked if people even did that sort of thing. That’s when I discovered Twitch Creative and fell in love!

4. Why did you become a streamer for Twitch?

I never even investigated other avenues and I liked the Twitch Creative community.

5. How long have you been a streamer?

It will be a year next week (Aug 9)!

6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? And if you’re comfortable saying what, what is your other job?

I stream crochet, I sell my crochet creations, and I also train dogs/dog sit. Ideally I’d like to be able to sell my crochet work + stream exclusively.

7. What are your favorite games to play?

I don’t play as much anymore but I like rpgs, mmos, and The Sims. :D

8. What are your favorite games to stream?

I haven’t been able to stream many games so far. I primarily stream creative.

9. Do you have any games you’d like to recommend to my readers to play and why?

Nier Automata! It’s a great game!

10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?

Not really.. I’m sorta pro at talking to myself and that works well for the stream atmosphere. I’m generally pretty shy in real life especially in larger group settings but the one-on-one nature in chat is much easier for me! And the more I did it the more natural it felt!

11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel?

I try to make my streams upbeat, cheerful, positive and a safe place to come for all. I also enjoy educating people who don’t know about crochet or are trying to learn or maybe even just trying to learn new techniques but even if you don’t know how to crochet or care to learn, I make my streams fun for all and just enjoy hanging out and talking about life, my interests, food and oh yeah… I occasionally stream baking/cooking too!!

Twitch Steamer Series- Part 53

Twitch Steamer Series- Part 53

Everyone has their own way of doing things and making things that they love. And I know that these creative streamers are here to hopefully entertain you as well as possibly inspire you as they mold things with their hands.

1. What is your twitch name?

    Name is Matrixovershock

2. Is there a reason why you chose that name?

Most people think I chose my name because of the movie the matrix, but it’s actually due to the movie Hackers. Loved the names of the characters; CrashOverRide, AcidBurn, LordNikon. So I went with the theme with my old AOL account and now today it’s my handle.

3. Why did you become a Twitch Streamer?

I became a Twitch streamer because I enjoy talking with people and just be genuinely entertaining. When I first found out you could entertain people through gaming I knew I was hooked.

4. Why did you become a streamer for Twitch?

Out of all the streaming platforms, Twitch has the best community hands down. Very supportive.

5. How long have you been a streamer?

Heavily for around 3 years now. I first started with gaming, but once I discovered creative that changed my whole stream. Now I make marionettes. Puppets live for people to see.

6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? And if you’re comfortable saying what, what is your other job?

I do have another job. But since I have received my affiliation I’ve been able to cut back the work there and devote more time to my stream.I don’t mind mentioning. I work for a marina warehouse in the shipping department.

7. What are your favorite games to play?

When I do stream games its usually ones that challenge the mind and are creatively fun to play. Lots of sim games, Minecraft, Starbound, and Terraria. This answer would also go with question 8. because when I do stream them, these are my favorites to stream.

8. What are your favorite games to stream?

See Above For Answer

9. Do you have any games you’d like to recommend to my readers to play and why?

I really don’t know of to many. Always try to stay current with the games. Or form a good bond with a old titles community. No matter what, just make sure your having fun. True supporters to your stream will stay and watch no matter what.

10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?

For me it was a natural feeling to talk to people. I have no problem getting up in front of a crowd to talk. physically or digitally. This comes from many years of doing school plays and just being a very out going and positive spirit.

11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel?

So my channel is known for several things. Our mascot is my eldest ginger cat, Cinder, who frequently bombards the stream and takes it over by laying on my desk and preventing work. Speaking of work, I make puppets. Well, marionettes. Stringed Puppets and other paper clay/ paper mache sculptors. I also paint and have been learning how to draw. you gotta start somewhere. Lastly, I’m known for smashing a cupcake in my face during my streams. Its something that happens if certain criteria are met. We call it the #Sacrificialcupcake.  :)

This guy works so hard on his projects and from what I have been able to catch when I lurk in his channel is that they are amazing. And he has so much fun doing what he does. Maybe you will catch the cupcake smashing of Cinder taking over the stream. So go show him some love on his channel at: https://www.twitch.tv/matrixovershock

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 52

Creative streamers are amazing. Why? Because they aren’t afraid to show you what they are making and if they mess up, the fix it, and keep going. This next streamer isn’t just a creative streamer but is also a gamer. So this streamer is the best of both worlds!

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 51

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 51

I am sorry for my absent but I am back and ready to jump back into my series of all these wonderful Twitch streamers. So let’s jump right back in with another awesome creative streamer and keep going from there.

  1. What is your twitch name?

                          My Twitch name is CraftsUntold

2.  Is there a reason why you chose that name?

I chose it because I already had an Etsy account with the same name, and I knew that I was mostly going to be streaming Creative. So I went and checked if I could have CraftsUntold on all the social media, then created the Twitch account. Brand Unity!

3. Why did you become a Twitch Streamer?

It seemed like a good way to work more crochet and knitting time into my day. It was also suggested by my boyfriend since I was watching other creative streamers.

4. Why did you become a streamer for Twitch?

I wasn’t aware of any other platform to stream on besides Twitch. I knew people did video blogs and posted them on YouTube, but that’s not live. So, that’s why I’m on Twitch! Also, the streamers I was already watching had created very positive communities.

5. How long have you been a streamer?

I started streaming in May of this year, so almost 3 months now?

6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? And if you’re comfortable saying what, what is your other job?

I have a full-time day job besides streaming. I have a general office type job. I’m an administrative assistant.

7. What are your favorite games to play?

I like to play Final Fantasy XIV and Don’t Starve Together. Tetris, Guitar Hero, the Sims.

8. What are your favorite games to stream?

I stream crochet and knitting. I create mostly amigurumi (crochet dolls) of video game or comic book characters. Sometimes I work on fancy things like beaded shawls or knit socks. Sometimes I create a pattern, sometimes I use a pattern that I find online. I haven’t streamed any games yet, I may stream FFXIV in the future. Who knows?

9. Do you have any games you’d like to recommend to my readers to play and why?

Oh, Don’t Starve Together is so much fun. Definitely that one.

10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?

It was, I was having flashbacks of the first couple times I had to stand in the front of a classroom and talk to students. I am not a naturally outgoing person, I have to fake it until I believe it. I am a hardcore introvert. But it does get easier as you get to know your regular viewers, and as you get to know your fellow streamers who stream similar things or who are on your stream team if you belong to one.

11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel?

I hope you will stop by some time. I take commissions, so some of the projects I work on will be commissions for viewers. We recently got over 200+ Followers and have had a few giveaways, so we do fun things on streams for milestones.

If you are interested in a laid back and fun creative stream, then I would definitely stop by and hang out with CraftsUntold. She is really a great streamer! Here is the link to her Twitch channel so that you can go check her out :  https://www.twitch.tv/craftsuntold

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 31

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 31

Introducing yourself to a group of several strangers can be nerve-wracking whether it’s in person or on a computer screen. But these streamers have all hidden their nerves very well. Don’t believe me? Then you know what to do…go to their channels, follow them, and catch their streams, like this next streamer I am about to introduce you to.

  1. What is your Twitch name?                                                                                                                          xMiniBergerx
  2. Is there a special reason you chose that name?                                                                                        First two initials are JR last name is berger, I’ve been miniberger from birth
  3. Why did you become a Twitch Streamer?                                                                                                     I needed something to do between my two work shifts I had huge blocks of time (10 am-3 pm and 8pm til bed) where I wasn’t doing anything. Then I fell in love with the creative community.
  4. Why did you choose to stream for Twitch?                                                                                            My friend had joined twitch the same week as me (VallaAzura) and we both started streaming Diablo 3 there. I moved to creative a week later.
  5. How long have you been a streamer?                                                                                                     I started Mid-August 2016
  6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? If you are comfortable in telling my readers, what is your other job?                                                                                                             I am a Nanny as well, watching two families’ children. Their ages are 9, 12, and 13.
  7. What are your favorite games to play?                                                                                                     Diablo 3, Borderlands 2, Subnautica, Batman Series, Portal Series,, Fallout Series, and Bioshock Series.
  8. What are your favorite games to stream?                                                                                            Diablo 3, Golf with your friends, Jackbox, Borderlands, Portal and Life is Strange
  9. Do you have any games that you would like to recommend to my readers to play and why?                                                                                                                                                              I am a big fan of D3, played since vanilla, I love starting over each season with new abilities. But I also love the story of Borderlands. I am a sucker for a good storyline.
  10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?                                                                                             No, I studied Education and was a teacher first. This made streaming easy because I am used to talking to a group of mindless children (just kidding). I would say it took 3 to 4 months before streaming became comfortable. It is never easy.
  11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel on Twitch?                                                                                                                                                       I try to run a calm easygoing channel filled with happiness, but I am always there if someone needs a person to talk to. My community is a Safe Space welcoming every type of snowflake. But were pretty ruthless with trolls.

Join this creative streamer/gaming streamer on her channel for a nice stream at twitch.tv/xminibergerx. I am sure you’ll find it another fun stream to be a part of and to join whenever she is streaming.

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 23

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 23

Painting isn’t the only amazing project that streamers love to share with their viewers. This next streamer loves to do so many crafts that I doubt anyone would get bored with what she does. And the best part is she has her own Etsy shop to sell what she makes. Allow me to introduce you to her now.

  1. What is your Twitch name?                                                                                                                     MissLelli
  2.  Is there a special reason you chose that name?                                                                                  My sister is 7 years younger than me and she couldn’t say my name properly when she was little so she called me Lelli. It’s always stuck and my mom still calls it me now.
I use it as my gaming name and online profiles and added ‘Miss’ if the name was taken.
  3. Why did you become a Twitch Streamer?                                                                                               The creative community on twitch is truly amazing. Pretty much everyone I’ve met on there has been so supportive and encouraging to everyone. It really does make you want to give streaming a go.
  4. Why did you choose to stream for Twitch?                                                                                                I’ve been watching twitch since about 2013 ish. At first it was to watch league of legends tournaments but when twitch creative got announced, I became a lot more active on the site. I like that twitch has multiple categories, it’s nice to have everything in one place instead of having to go to one site to watch gamers and another site to watch artists.
  5. How long have you been a streamer?                                                                                                        I did my first stream about a year ago but due to life getting in the way I’ve been very inactive. I’ve only done a handful of streams this year so far but now we’ve just moved to a new house, I’m planning on doing a lot more again once things have settled down.
  6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? If you are comfortable in telling my readers, what is your other job?                                                                                                                 I’m actually a weird ‘mature’ student in University full-time. I’m about to start my degree in applied arts, which is a fancy name for making shizz. I also have a small Etsy store where I sell my handmade horror creations. Props, decor, key chains, accessories etc. And I stream the making and the progress of these items.
  7. What are your favorite games to play?                                                                                                 I used to be big on mobas and mmorpgs but lately I’ve just been kicking back playing chill games. I love Stardew Valley. I was watching Concerded Apes blog since the game was in the very early development stages. I used to love Harvest Moon but Stardew is my number 1 game to play on steam. I also really enjoy playing the Nintendo switch, my favorite games on there are Mario Kart and Arms and I can’t wait to play Splatoon 2.
  8. What is your favorite thing to create on stream?                                                                                   As a huge horror freak, I must say that’s it’s got to be anything that I sculpt for my Etsy shop. I do also crochet as well as other crafts and forms of art but sculpting is my favorite. I mostly use super sculpey for my sculpts as I get more details in the piece. I like to get a reaction from people with my horror art even if people come into the stream and ask about my projects then say it’s gross, I’m happy because after all horror isn’t supposed to be pretty.
  9. Do you have any games that you would like to recommend to my readers to play and why?                                                                                                                                                                 Stardew valley is the game I recommend the most. I just simply love that game! There’s farming, fighting, fishing, friend and family making, all the Fs you’ll need. Mario Karts has been a firm fave of mine since I first played it on the snes and the newest one doesn’t disappoint. Other games I love are – Fantasy Life on 3DS, Arms and Splattoon are both fun friendly competitive games on Nintendo, Fran Bow and Year Walk are two really cool horror point and click games on steam and then last but not least, Recettear and Chantelise are by the same company, on steam and so rock solid. They make Lelli rage / cry in a corner. They are fun, check them out if you like RPGs.
  10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?                                                                                              Yes, I’ve suffered from anxiety since I was a young teen and the idea of talking to people, I don’t know scares, the crap out of me. But the community in twitch creative is so welcoming and after 10 mins of streaming I forget why I was scared. It still happens now and again for me, if I over think about going live I end up making myself sick. The first time I had a big host, the lovely PrendorianCrap came over with 50 viewers and I completely buggered it up. I didn’t know what to do or say and I felt guilty for being a wasted host for her. I just froze. But you live and you learn and like I said there are some awesome people on twitch who have really made me feel more comfortable with it and confident about my art.
  11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel on Twitch?                                                                                                                                                           If you haven’t ventured over to the creative side of twitch yet then you definitely should come and check us out. After all, most of us there are just gamers/geeks/nerds/what have you that are showing off our creative sides. I know my art isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but there’s so many talented artists on twitch, it’ll be a shame to not pop by and say hi to at least one you like the look of.

Yes, please go say hi and check out her channel at twitch.tv/misslelli to see her creative side. And if you ask her nicely, she may give you information to her Etsy shop.

Twitch Streamers Series- Part 22

Twitch Streamers Series- Part 22

Art is another way to one’s soul whether you make art yourself or if you admire it at an art gallery or even while watching and supporting a Twitch Streamer. Here is another wonderful streamer who loves to create art with her hands as well as enjoys the art of game playing.

  1. What is your Twitch name?                                                                                                                       greeyzone (yes all lower cases – that’s important)
  2. Is there a special reason you chose that name?                                                                                    Mainly, I happen to grow up with two nationalities – not by law, but I was joining a foreign community from kindergarten on and during school. So I learned another culture while being with my own at home. That has since the age of 12 or 13 made me question my identity ever since. Am I the one, my parents taught me – Or am I the one, which I have been included in? I speak both languages fluently and I know both cultural traditions. But where does that place me? It places me in a grey zone of things.                                                                        As you move on in life and evolve with age, I figured a lot of other things fitted into this name as well. I have always been the awkward kid in school. I always wore my own idea of fashion, which never fitted into the current one. I always was the weird social one, who just randomly mentioned something off-topic from the deepest of my mind. Haha, I caught a lot of weird looks in my life so far – so to say.                                                                                                          Also I am the middle child, I have two brothers. Anyone, who’s the middle child knows, how invisible you can get sometimes. I got away with a lot of trouble.                                                                                                                                                    And that’s where my nickname basically comes from. Oh yes, and when I first made it a long time ago, long before Twitch, the simple “greyzone” was taken, and instead of it turning into “greyzone2” I still wanted it to look neat. So I basically stretched the E. And it has proven to be quite unique nickname through platforms. Xbox, Twitch, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Steam, Gmail, Snapchat… I am pretty sure if you find a greeyzone somewhere, chances are high, that it is me 🙂
  3. Why did you become a Twitch Streamer?                                                                                              I have been following a lot of creative people on YouTube and I am also fascinated by some Vlogs. One of my favorite YouTuber’s at that time was streaming on Twitch. And I was so truly fascinated by watching her paint and interact with her audience – LIVE! She was talking so much about stuff I am used to hear in vlogs – and more. So after that I just explored the Creative area of Twitch and saw so many other artists showing their traditional art skills in front of people and having a good time. Some focused on the art itself, some focused more on the community. You can basically do whatever you want.            And the Creative Monster in me was always knocking on the door, asking to get out. So Last year I decided, I am going to start streaming Creative myself to keep me practicing and keep my creativity flowing all over the place. Also I wanted to be among like-minded people, I wanted to practice art, to talk about it and to watch other people doing art. And I haven’t regret it since.
  4. Why did you choose to stream for Twitch?                                                                                            I didn’t really know any other streaming website at that time. YouTube has not launched their live-feature either and Twitch has been creative only – there wearing all the great browsing options that you can find today. I really liked the community and I was in panels, where we could discuss Twitch Creative development and features with some of the Twitch Staff. I felt heard and I felt seen. I felt like my opinion mattered and made an actual impact.          I have had so many viewers visiting my stream since I started, who had a locked up Creative Monster as well and dared to let it out. They either started streaming themselves, or they kept me up to date with their creative progress. It is really loving to see all this shared interest of ours.                                                             I feel like the Creative community on Twitch is very supportive and respectful too. We barely have “trolls” or “haters” coming around, like they do in the gaming area. It gives you a lot of confidence with your art progress or what you paint. No one ever said to me on Twitch, that my produced art looks like shit (other than myself.)
  5. How long have you been a streamer?                                                                                                    I have been streaming Creative since 1st of April 2016 and recently added some gaming too, I think since February 2017. But my main focus will always be Creative.
  6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? If you are comfortable in telling my readers, what is your other job?                                                                                                                I started streaming, when I was unemployed after University. But since then I got a full-time job within IT, Marketing and Communication. I started out streaming 3 times a week, but could feel it was difficult to maintain after I got a job. Now I am only streaming Creative on Sundays and my community knows that.
  7. What are your favorite games to play?                                                                                                      Well, since I am quite new to the gaming part I can say I like Ark, Minecraft, Destiny, Far Cry Primal. I still appreciate the game’s creative work, sometimes I enjoy Indie games too.                                                                                                       When it comes to Art I started out with painting acrylic paintings and have now evolved a big interest in watercolors too.
  8. What are your favorite games to stream?                                                                                              Well I always appreciated the social aspect of gaming, when it comes to streaming. I would always prefer a game that I can play with others in Voice more than playing only me. Even Minecraft, which might be quite boring to watch, can be quite exciting, if you have the right people around for entertainment.
  9. Do you have any games that you would like to recommend to my readers to play and why?                                                                                                                                                                Oh yes, I love this little Indie game “Leo’s Fortune” (which is the only game I ever played through) … The graphics are really nice and I like the puzzle-effect it has in each level to move on. Also the story is quite funny.                                      Same goes for “Unravel”, that game is really really pretty. And I like the gameplay and navigation of it. You are basically a yarn-bundle who has to find the way back home. And you use the yarn to hang, swing or jump around and things. It is really cute.                                                                                                              Then there is “The Cave” where you have to solve puzzles too, while a main Voice comments how retarded you are – it is really hilarious.
  10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?                                                                                          Oh god I remember…. I think when I first started streaming, I was streaming a couple of days in a row. And I barely talked for the first 10 hours until someone actually approached me in chat and asked stuff i could answer. To this day today I am still a quiet creative streamer. But when the chat runs, I can talk a lot. I feel the “empty-talking-to-noone” is easier in gaming. There you basically can think out loud of your in-game choices and experiences. But in Creative it is also okay to stay silent for a while, when painting or being creative in other ways.
  11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel on Twitch?                                                                                                                                                             I am a creative gentle soul and very helpful. Come stop by on Sundays 4 pm CET and chill out with me. If you need help with some things, if it’s creative or technical I am always around to help out and to share my experiences. I am very aware of keeping peace in my community and trying to get everyone along with my vision. I don’t care about gender, nationality or age. If you want to just paint or draw with me, I am delightful to help u out or see what u have been working on. Since starting streaming and letting my Creative Monster out I have been through a lot of trial-and-error of bots, settings, art supplies, paper choices, drawing techniques (the list is long)… I am still learning (and sharing all my knowledge if you like it or not) and also open for new suggestions.

Definitely show her your support by heading into her channel at twitch.tv/greeyzone and have a great time.
