Twitch Streamer Series- Part 59

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 59

One of my newer follows is a really great guy who loves playing solo games and with his friends, whom I hope to catch up with and interview for this blog series as well. I have already interviewed one, Cyb3rDragon, and I hope to interview more. They are all a great bunch and a lot of fun to watch. So let’s learn about this great guy, Anchovybob.

1. What is your twitch name?

My twitch name is Anchovybob! Do not let my tiny name fool you, I swear I am ferocious.

2. Is there a reason why you chose that name?

I actually don’t remember why I chose my username to be Anchovybob. I’ve had it since the early days of Xbox live on the original xbox.

3. Why did you become a Twitch Streamer?

I became a streamer honestly because I thought it was cool! And I was totally right, it is pretty neat.

4. Why did you become a streamer for Twitch?

As for becoming a twitch streamer it was really because well… I was already watching broadcasts on twitch and I new the platform already. So I decided to start there.

5. How long have you been a streamer?

Casually I was streaming on and off for about 5 years, but up until about April is when I decided to start taking it rather seriously, trying to stream every day and what not.

6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? And if you’re comfortable saying what, what is your other job?

I wish I only streamed. No, I do have another job, I’m a game master at an escape room.

7. What are your favorite games to play?

Personally I love strategy games, but those are super boring to watch, which is handy that I have a healthy love for shooter games and multiplayer games,

8. What are your favorite games to stream?

I greatly enjoy streaming shooter games, PUBG, Planetside 2, Killing Floor 2 are really fun to play and stream.

9. Do you have any games you’d like to recommend to my readers to play and why?

Hm, depending on what your readers enjoy, I could recommend Planetside 2 as a shooter, Banished as a simulation game, MOBA fans why not try Overwatch or Dota 2, if your fans haven’t played these yet; give the Mass Effect series and Dead Space series a go! Those are really good series. These games are definitely personal favorites I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into each. Heck, my PUBG clock is ticking close to 500.

10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?

Not exactly no, it was mostly just having people that would just… talk in general. But it often did fall back down to; ok, they said hello, I said hello, what do we talk about?! But thankfully that got easier over time, I would say in the beginning with me some times streaming and sometimes not it took about a years worth of time.

11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel?

I stream every night usually starting around 10-11 after work! Shameless plug is shameless… but no, for me my channel is a little detention of my personality. I get to be my normal weird self, make strange noises, cuss out a stupid character for being stupid, let my sarcasm run rampant. It’s fun. But things can also get super serious too and I take speaking freely in my channel quite seriously. Can’t post things but you can say almost anything on my channel. Keyword most.

He is definitely a riot when he streams whatever game he feels like it. Want to see this funny guy in action? Then by all means follow the link to his channel and have some fun listening to him be his normal weird self, making noises and cussing out characters. His link to his channel is: https://www.twitch.tv/anchovybob

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 56

Every gamer is unique on their names and their approach to streaming but they all have one goal in mind- to have fun and show their viewers that they love what they do. This fun streamer enjoys showing everyone how to have a fun time while in his stream.

  1. What is your twitch name?

NackersTV

2. Is there a reason why you chose that name?

Actually, I didn’t choose this name on my own. It was actually given to be by a friend from my last online community I was a part of many years ago. Almost a decade ago, actually.. My real name is Nick, and that friend took my name and made it goofy. He started to call me Nackers all of the time and it caught on. At the time, my online handle was BuhbaFette and I had grown tired of that name. So I decided to adopt the name Nackers. Since this is a common name, I spell it ‘Naaackers’ with three A’s since it’s usually not taken anywhere. Been that ever since.

3. Why did you become a Twitch streamer?

Many years ago, my brother told me about this website where you could broadcast yourself playing video games. He had originally started to explore the platform because he wanted to shed some light on the gaming community he was and still is running. I just streamed to provide some entertainment and content for that community and it’s members, and it eventually grew into a hobby. Now, it’s my #1 hobby.

4. How long have you been a streamer?

I have been on twitch for a total of 4 years now. I streamed for 1 year, took a year off, and then came back and never left.

5. Do you only stream or do you have another job? And if you’re comfortable saying what, what is your other job?

I do have a full time job, I am a Network & IT Administrator for a small charter school district.

6. What are you favorite games to play?

My favorite types of games to play, especially on stream, are multiplayer games. Right now my number one favorite game is Rocket League. I also dabble in a lot of shooters.

7. What are you favorite games to stream?

My favorite game to stream is Rocket League, hands down. Second favorite would have to be a tie between Towerfall and Gang Beasts. Alternatively, there is only one thing I love streaming as much as video games, sometimes even more. Talk shows. I’ve been podcasting live on Twitch for a total of three years, and it has to be some of the most fun i’ve had on Twitch.

8. Do you have any games you recommend to readers to play and why?

Bioshock and Half Life, all of them. That is all that needs to be said.

9. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer?

Not for me no, I’ve never had an issue talking to chat. But that doesn’t mean my show was any kind of enjoyable to watch. I go back and look at my streams from when I first started and it is TERRIBLE. I can’t say that I am still 100% comfortable. I still get nervous every time I go live. Just the nature of the beast.

10. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel?

There is really only a few things I can say about myself. I love playing video games, especially with friends. I love podcasting (Crocs and Hot Pockets is the show in case you’re interested) and I love building relationships with great human beings. I pride myself if looking out for the people that mean the most to me, and backing them up when it’s needed. I don’t stand for draining, negative Nancys in my life and I’d rid you from my environment as fast as possible if need be. I’m loud, inappropriate sometimes and just love having fun. Rocket League is life.

Like he said, don’t be a negative Nancy and you will have an amazing time on his stream. Go check him out on his channel at: https://www.twitch.tv/nackerstv

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 55

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 55

As I have said before, I enjoy meeting new streamers and slowly getting to know them and their channels. This next streamer I have just met recently and he is a really good gamer and a really cool guy from what I have learned so far.

1. What is your twitch name?

                   TheSilent_Reaper

2. Is there a reason why you chose that name?

I have played many, many first person shooters in my life. And I gave myself this name because I took a liking to the sniper rifles. No feeling is better than destroying an enemy who cannot see or hear you until it is too late.

3. Why did you become a Twitch Streamer?

I became a streamer because I enjoy interaction, video games, and just all around entertaining!

4. Why did you become a streamer for Twitch?

I became a streamer for Twitch as a means to get myself out of my shell and become a better talker, and to share my content with the world. I love what I do and I hope you will as well!

5. How long have you been a streamer?

I have been attempting to stream for about 2 years, but just recently for about 2 and half months have I done it religiously.

6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? And if you’re comfortable saying what, what is your other job?

I am currently unemployed, this is still a hobby for me but would love to make this my job!

7. What are your favorite games to play?

First person shooters, Survival, Simulators, and anything I can narrate!

8. What are your favorite games to stream?

I would have to say that I really don’t know. I have a love and hate for all the games I play. But above all I really like Player Unknowns Battlegrounds.

9. Do you have any games you’d like to recommend to my readers to play and why?

If you ever played any games in your life I would suggest playing Final Fantasy, it is a wonderful story based series that will tug on your heart strings, make you smile and even make you laugh!

10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?

Yes it was, and still is. I am unsure if I could ever overcome the anxiety it causes. But I love doing it.

11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel?

I may not be the best, I may not be the funniest. But I promise you have a home in my channel and being here makes you special to me. I personally interact with everyone even if means letting myself die in game. In my channel everyone is equal and loved and I promise you will be entertained.

Twitch Streamer Series – Part 54

Twitch Streamer Series – Part 54

Another fabulous streamer and one I am happy to call a friend of mine is this next wonderful lady who is a gamer and a creative streamer who definitely puts a smile on my face. And she tries to put smiles on everyone’s faces too. She is actually married to another streamer who I had the honor of interviewing- Cyb3rDragon. They are a funny couple who’s streams are fantastic. And her theme for her channel is Alice in Wonderland. How cool is that?   But now let’s get to know AAsendent shall we?

1. What is your twitch name?
AAsendent but everyone calls me Sendy.
2. Is there a reason why you chose that name?
It is from one of my many TV show obsession Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda. Admittedly it is spelt slightly wrong but we will pretend that was intentional haha. My bot RomDoll is also from the same show. I planned on integrating the show into the channel more but realized many people are unaware of it so best not to for now.
3. Why did you become a Twitch Streamer?
To be honest, I only ever joined Twitch to support the hubby Cyb3rDragon but after a little while it was suggested as a joke that I tried streaming myself. Naturally after the first few streams I was hooked haha. I am glad I did though as I love interacting with people in chat, to the point where sometimes I forget I am meant to be playing a game lol.
4. Why did you become a streamer for Twitch?
As above really, I have never really entertained the idea of using a different platform.
5. How long have you been a streamer?
I think its been about 6 months on and off, I took a break for a couple of months due to stuff at home. I am off for a few weeks now as on holiday but I will be back at it as soon as I am home again.
6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? And if you’re comfortable saying what, what is your other job?
Job title: Ring leader to the newly name Spawns of Sendy. (aka Mother of 3…4 if you include Cyb3r)
7. What are your favorite games to play?
My favourites change so often as I generally obsess over things for months at a time and then not touch them again for a while. At the moment FFXV, Crash Bandicoot, Sims, Overwatch and most recent is Fortnite. There are others I want to really play but until I have more monies they will have to wait
8. What are your favorite games to stream?
Any form of the Sims for sure, its a pretty chill game to stream so I can keep up with the chatting while doing so. We have a lot of fun with the story line aspects on the game and I am looking forward to starting Sirens Asylum in the next month too. Crash is another favourite but that is purely down to the amount of rage that game induces. Once I am back from Holiday expect to see Fortnite for a bit too.
9. Do you have any games you’d like to recommend to my readers to play and why?
Crash Bandicoot remastered…EVERYONE needs to feel that rage! lmao
10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?
It was a little but a lot of my viewers I talk to in other channels so it was just like talking to friends, some days it is harder than others and I still get stupid nervous before starting stream or taking down the setting up screen from time to time.
11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel?
Hey guys! Why not come join us some time, don’t worry we wont bite..to hard haha
Want to meet this fiery woman yourself and have some fun while we all laugh and chat together while she plays games or even once in a while gets creative? Then you will want to follow her at her channel: https://www.twitch.tv/aasendent
Twitch Streamer Series- Part 50

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 50

Streamer Hype! I really appreciate all of my readers for continuing on this journey with me for all of these great streamers. I may not be that knowledgable in all things twitch or gaming but I do know that interviewing these gamers has been pure joy.

  1. What is your Twitch name?                                                                                                                         Samgria
  2. Is there a special reason you chose that name?                                                                                     Yes, because I love sangria. So I mixed my name with it!
  3. Why did you become a Twitch Streamer?                                                                                                 At first it was mostly for me so I could clip awesome things that happen while I gamed, but now I do it for the small community I have and because it’s fun to entertain people!
  4. Why did you choose to stream for Twitch?                                                                                               I wouldn’t say I’m a streamer for Twitch, since I don’t work for them and just do this on the side for fun
  5. How long have you been a streamer?                                                                                                           About half a year, was a long time viewer on twitch and then decided to start streaming once I got a better computer.
  6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? If you are comfortable in telling my readers, what is your other job?                                                                                                              Nope, I don’t only stream! I do have another job. I am a QA Tester for a company in Montreal!
  7. What are your favorite games to play?                                                                                                          League of Legends, Dead by Daylight, Player Unknowns Battlegrounds, Animal Crossing.
  8. What are your favorite games to stream?                                                                                                  League of Legends and Dead by Daylight. But I stream a lot of horror games as well on the side since my viewers like seeing me scared.
  9. Do you have any games that you would like to recommend to my readers to play and why?                                                                                                                                                                 Not really, everyone has their preferences
  10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?                                                                                              Yes, I found it extremely difficult and when I first started streaming I’d only stream while I was gaming with a friend so I’d have them to talk to the whole time. Took me maybe a month or so. But now I feel completely confident with talking to my viewers
  11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel on Twitch?                                                                                                                                                                 Well, all I have to say is that I have a bubbly personality and if you like seeing a girl get drunk and play horror games. Then my streams the stream for you

If you like to watch a streamer play horror and get scared, here is your chance. But of course, that’s not all she will play and she has a lot of fun while streaming. Go join her in her channel  twitch.tv/samgria and say hi.

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 49

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 49

There are those streamers who enjoy using their cameras and those who don’t so it’s always a different experience when you can see the streamer and their reaction to just hearing their reactions through their voices while they play games. My favorite are always those with the camera on and they have decided to play horror games because their facials are hilarious!

  1. What is your Twitch name?                                                                                                                           My Twitch name is Banestorm and you can find me on twitch at twitch.tv/banestorm.
  2. Is there a special reason you chose that name?                                                                                      A majority of my pc gaming career was spent playing MMORPG’s one of which was World of Warcraft which I played for 11 years. I was always creating characters and deleting them, putting them in the guild and taking them out. Wasn’t long before members couldn’t keep up with all my characters so to make it easier I always created my character as Bane something. Banestorm was one of the names I carried into other games as well, especially anything where I was gonna have lightning abilities.
  3. Why did you become a Twitch Streamer?                      My wife and I are parents to a special needs daughter with physical and developmental issues. At periods throughout her life, she has needed extra help and support at home to aid her in school, physical therapy etc. As she is older now and spends a majority of her time in school, I searched for something to keep me busy while I took my turn as the homemaker. That’s when I found Twitch. I was hooked instantly.
  4. Why did you choose to stream for Twitch?                                                                                                   Because that’s where the party is at. Quite honestly it had more people than any other streamer service so there was more people to meet and possibly game with because I was, and continue to be, a follower for several communities. I like being part of different communities for different games and Twitch provides the most options.
  5. How long have you been a streamer?                                                                                                           I’m currently on my third year of streaming and have no plans to stop soon.
  6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? If you are comfortable in telling my readers, what is your other job?                                                                                                                     I’m currently streaming full-time thanks to having perhaps the greatest wife on the planet. When we sat and talked about the opportunity I had to do this thing while staying at home with my daughter, she told me to go for it. She has been 100% behind me for this without hesitation. Even on my worst days when I want to throw in the towel she is the one who picks me up tells me to reach for the dream.
  7. What are your favorite games to play?                                                                                                           I enjoy a lot of different genres and I’m generally down to try most titles. The games that I really enjoy the most are multiplayer games such as co-op pve games or squad/team based pvp games. I occasionally play single player story driven games but not to often.
  8. What are your favorite games to stream?                                                                                                       As a variety streamer I play a lot of different games on stream from popular games that don’t take a lot of time to pick up and learn and even less time to master to games that have a higher skill cap and require some instruction or research to get you started. But, to be quite honest my favorite part is learning a game with my community. Whether it be a new game or an older game that I’ve never played I love sitting down and asking questions about the game and letting the chat teach me. And I love when I’m learning a game on stream and someone else who is just learning comes into the chat. We begin to form this brainstorm learning environment. One of the hardest things about learning a game is knowing WHAT questions to ask and in a group environment that process can really spark conversation.
  9. Do you have any games that you would like to recommend to my readers to play and why?                                                                                                                                                                 There so many I could recommend but generally when answering this question I like to pick 2 games that almost always get passed up
by gamers.                                                                                                                                                       War Thunder is a cross-platform multiplayer vehicular combat MMO set in the World War II era. It has both hand and airplane combat with naval combat currently in development. It has arcade, realistic, sim and custom combat modes. It has what I believe is the best free to play model for F2P games and has infinite value because you never have to spend a penny in this game to enjoy its full content. While premium vehicle and premium time are available to help you grind tech trees faster they are not required or are often given away as rewards or
prizes for events.                                                                                                                                                Mechwarrior Online is also a free-to-play vehicular combat MMO by Piranha Games that has, you guessed it. BIG STOMPY ROBOTS. This game is quite possibly the best F2P game on the market. The community is absolutely amazing and the Mechwarrior Universe is as rich in lore and content out of  the game as titles like Warhammer 40K and Warcraft. If I were to settle into one game and make it my main game, this would be it.
  10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?                                                                                                  It’s still hard for me on a daily basis. As a person who grew up in a small town where everyone knows each other large groups of people or public speaking scares me to death. I have the absolute worst stage fright. I find the more comfortable I get with a game and talking about it, the easier it becomes to initiate or engage in a conversation with a viewer. But anytime I try something new, I have to walk around and pump myself up before stream, look in the mirror give myself the motivational speech, pretty much everything short of throwing up.
  11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel on Twitch?                                                                                                                                                                 Just that I hope anyone interested in stopping should know I am an absolutely terrible gamer. I have definitely passed my prime in gaming and my prime probably wasn’t that good. I aspire to be average and most games so because of that I’m in it for fun of it. I do play some competitive games like Overwatch or Heroes of the Storm but rarely get on the ladders to rank up. I want everyone to have a fun experience where winning is secondary. I have always been taught and still believe in my heart… It’s not whether you win or lose but HOW you play the game!

Don’t listen to his hogwash about being a terrible gamer! He does just fine when I go visit him and watch his stream. Though I mostly lurk in there, it is a great stream. And he likes to play with others and that always makes it even more entertaining. His channel is  twitch.tv/banestorm so come and join him.

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 48

Twitch Streamer Series- Part 48

As I’ve stated before, go find the newer streamers, sit and relax on your couch, and have fun chatting with them. They need your support just as much as those who have a lot of followers/viewers. So why not help out the new comers to the world of streamers? Or even become a streamer yourself? I’d follow you just like I follow all of these great streamers.

  1. What is your Twitch name?                                                                                                                            MrShadowPro, call me Shadow.
  2. Is there a special reason you chose that name?                                                                                          (No one knows this, so this is big insider knowledge.) When I tried out YouTube around 5 years ago I chose my name as ‘TheShadowProtocol’ (mouth full I know.) When I was making a Twitter account to accompany it, I decided it would be too long and so shortened it to ‘TheShadowPro’ then this account was hacked so I changed to ‘MrShadowPro.’ This has ended up turning into my username for almost anything and so became my Twitch name when I created the account. Long story, I know.
  3. Why did you become a Twitch Streamer?                                                                                                   I’ve watched a lot of gaming content over the past 7-8 years on YouTube and Twitch, and wanted to try out streaming myself, as it seemed very fun. BadBadRobot was the main influence in me starting streaming, as he is someone I have watched him for a long, long time and he always seemed to enjoy streaming no matter what.
  4. Why did you choose to stream for Twitch?                                                                                                 Twitch is perfectly optimized for streaming (obviously, it is a streaming platform) especially for gaming and so it is really the only place I see as a good option to use for it. Also, I have acquired a good amount of friends through Twitch over the years and so it wouldn’t be the same without these people on a different platform.
  5. How long have you been a streamer?                                                                                                        Around 3 months, I have tried it out before but it never lasted. This time, I am thoroughly enjoying it however.
  6. Do you only stream or do you have another job? If you are comfortable in telling my readers, what is your other job?                                                                                                                  I work part-time in a performance theatre whilst in school, I make no money from Twitch at the moment so it is just another hobby right now.
  7. What are your favorite games to play?                                                                                                       My favorite two sets of games are the Elder Scrolls series and the Pokemon games, so I occasionally go back and play some of those, with my favorites being Oblivion from TES and Emerald from Pokemon. As well as those, I am very much into the sport of Football (or Soccer to all you Americans) and so I play a lot of a game called Football Manager, which allows you to simulate being the manager of a real Football team. I also enjoy playing a lot of multiplayer games such as Overwatch, Rocket League and Rainbow Six Siege with friends.
  8. What are your favorite games to stream?                                                                                                    I mostly enjoy playing single player story based games where I can interact with chat without worrying about missing something in a fast paced multiplayer game. However, I do also like to stream multiplayer games such as Overwatch and Rocket League where the chat still has something good to watch but where there are gaps in which I can have conversations with people.
  9. Do you have any games that you would like to recommend to my readers to play and why?                                                                                                                                                                 The only game I recommend to people is one that a lot of people have already played, and that is Life is Strange. I didn’t have great hopes going into this due to the simplistic graphics however it ended up being my favorite story telling game ever. The character interaction is amazing and the storyline has so many unexpected twists and turns that you just cannot stop playing. If you have not yet played this, I would highly recommend it. You will not regret it, for such an amazing game it is relatively cheap too. I am thoroughly excited for the before the storm prequel coming out later this year, and I would say that you should experience both games.
  10. Was it hard to talk to your viewers when you first became a streamer? How long before you became at ease with streaming?                                                                                                    To be honest, I’m quite a chatty person to begin with. I’m from a place in England where everyone is friendly and you can end up speaking to random people everyday, so speaking to people who I’m not even face to face with was not much of a task for me. It was not so much any nervousness, but it is a strange concept to get over in your first few streams speaking to people who you can’t see or hear but can only read what they type. I did get over this quite quickly however, and I love hanging out with chat. Not having a big follower base at all means that I don’t get a lot in chat usually but I try to be as welcoming as possible whenever someone stops by.
  11. Would you like to tell my readers anything else about yourself or your channel on Twitch?                                                                                                                                                                   I’m a small streamer from England who likes having fun and just having a good time whilst streaming. If you do ever come across my channel and pop in I hope you enjoy what you see and feel welcomed. I try to act how I’d want my community to act, welcoming and kind. I respond to everything I see in chat, so if you ever want to ask any questions about me or my channel then I’ll be very happy to answer.

I have gone to his stream now a few times and I definitely enjoyed hanging gout with im and those in his chat. He is one of those laid back guys that is always ready for a good chat while playing a good game. Go to his channel and see for yourself at  twitch.tv/mrshadowpro.
